I am a big fan of Saturday Night Live (SNL). This past season, one cast member in particular, had me cracking up a lot. Thank you Kate McKinnon! If you haven’t seen the SNL skit where McKinnon plays the character, “Ms. Rafferty”, who has been abducted by aliens you are missing out. There were two skits this season, Close Encounter and Near Death Experience. Both skits had me belly laughing. In addition to playing “Ms. Rafferty”, props to other characters I feel McKinnon played really well, shout outs to her impressions of Hillary Clinton, Justine Bieber and Ellen DeGeneres.
I am now intrigued to see anything and everything Kate McKinnon does. Savannah Guthrie of the Today Show recently interviewed McKinnon and shared that the Director of the new “Ghostbuster’s” movie Paul Feig, felt the movie needed a “glorious weirdo”, and McKinnon fit that part. I think this is such a great way to describe her and, my new favorite term of endearment. I am really hoping when SNL returns in September that McKinnon remains part of the cast and keeps these funny characters and impressions coming.
